Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge of OMAR (P&C)'s reinsurance arrangements across its countries, engaging with country Reinsurance Managers, Finance teams, and CFOs, and presenting results and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process consolidated reinsurance technical accounts.
• Reconcile reinsurance balances, process cessions and recoveries, and manage timely settlement of accounts.
• Maintain and monitor reinsurance outstanding loss reserves and claims recoveries.
• Analyse the profitability of each reinsurance programme and make recommendations to improve performance and reduce cost.
• Contribute to the preparation of reinsurance reports, dashboards, and management reporting.
• Support the correct accounting, measurement, and disclosure of reinsurance under IFRS 17.
• Consult and educate country teams on streamlining and standardising reinsurance data recording.
• Participate in ongoing learning, professional development, accreditation, and continuous capability building.
