The Production Manager at UIRI's Namanve Campus (MMISDC) oversees production functions and ensures operations are efficient, effective and sustainable.

Duties

• Plan, coordinate and control manufacturing processes and resources to service orders and achieve production goals.
• Monitor, document and optimise production workflows to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Contribute to strategic planning for the facility and align production goals with organisational objectives.
• Supervise engineers, technicians, operators and trainees while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Conduct regular audits of production processes and outputs and address issues promptly.
• Prepare budgets and reports for the production function of MMISDC.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of five years in a senior supervisory or management position in a reputable entity engaged in heavy-duty manufacturing.
• Professional accreditation with industry-relevant associations or bodies is an added advantage.
