About the role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our manufacturing processes and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance activities, leveraging maintenance system data to drive performance improvements, ensuring full compliance with safe work practices and procedures, and contributing to the achievement of key safety, quality, service, cost, and asset care targets. Working closely with the Operations team, you will champion continuous improvement initiatives and drive Manufacturing Management System (MMS) activities at shift level to deliver operational excellence and sustainable business results.

Top accountabilities

  • Ensure compliance to maintenance regulatory standards within the area
  • Work with maintenance Leaders and Craft teams to identify areas of plant under performance and support improvement plans
  • Responsible for managing SAP data integrity with respect to plant and equipment structures, maintenance plans, Task lists and work orders for business areas of responsibility in accordance with Diageo Work Planning and Scheduling standards
  • Work with Asset Care Leaders and Asset care Technicians to ensure work request undergo adequate technical assessment and planning prior to scheduling work
  • Engage and Coach store teams to support effective and efficient planning through use of job knitting in accordance with Diageo Work Planning and Scheduling Standards
  • Support and Energize deployment of MMS Asset Care Strategy and practice at business area of responsibility with Equipment Owners, Asset Care Technicians and Operators
  • Lead weekly Asset Care integrated planning meeting providing scheduled maintenance requirements, performance reporting and agree improvement actions with stakeholders
  • Support Daily Operational review meetings to report Asset care performance and support actions to improve compliance and performance
  • Action any non compliance of scheduled work to prioritize and reschedule
  • Continuously follow Leader Standard Work and ensure weekly maintenance schedules optimize use of resources, time and materials
  • Continuously drive for the next level of performance. Be bold on action planning and delivery
  • Develop Team Morale, recognize great performance and take timely action to address underperformance where necessary
  • Have appropriate behavioral safety conversation - comfortable challenging each others and visitors
  • Demonstrate self awareness and own self development plan
  • Commit to grow own capability and experience to the benefit of self, your team and Diageo
  • Prepare and complete own P4G documentation. Be receptive to feedback and willing to learn from mistakes
  • Analyse Spare parts Inventory equirement and Continuous improvement in Inventory Controls
  • Implement Facilities Management’s procurement requirements for spares, materials and outsourced work.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Skills & Experience:

  • 3 Years experience/competence  in operations, maintenance, process control and performance measurement in a brewery or drinks or food manufacturing environment.
