Job Description
Requirements
Holder of Diploma/FTC in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Automotive Engineering from a recognized institution.
Responsibilities
- To carry out inspection of plants and equipment according to the laid down procedures;
- To participate in carrying out mechanical maintenance and repair of machines, motors, equipment, pumps and motor vehicles as directed;
- To complete job card for every machine/mechanical maintenance and repair work carried out;
- To keep records of all maintenance and repair works undertaken for every machine and plant;
- To participate in preparation of plans, designs, and modifications for new mechanical installations as required by management;
- To ensure that record of daily breakdowns of water distribution system and repaired breakdowns are kept properly;
- To prepare periodical reports on mechanical repairs and maintenance undertaken.
How to Apply
Applicants must be Tanzanian aged between 18 and 35 years.
- Applicants must attach an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV) with reliable contacts, including postal address, mail address, and telephone numbers.
- Applicants must attach certified copies of academic and professional certificates, academic transcripts, and birth certificates.
- Applicants must have two guarantors. Both must be Public Servants.
- Applicants must attach an introduction letter from the Village/Street Executive Officer or relevant Local Government Authority.
- Applicants must be willing to volunteer in the respective assigned area.
- Applicants must attach a copy of the National Identification Card (NIDA).
- Applicants must attach two (2) coloured passport size pictures.
- Applicants must not have been convicted by any Court of Law for criminal or disciplinary offences and must possess good conduct and acceptable moral character within the community.
- Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statements of Results, and Form IV and Form VI Results Slips shall not be accepted.
- All foreign academic certificates must be recognised by the relevant authorities, namely TCU, NECTA, or NACTVET.
The volunteering programme is strictly intended for skills development and acquisition of work experience and shall not be construed as a basis for automatic employment in the Public Service.
