About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
• Collaborate with the finance team to achieve financial goals
• Provide financial guidance and support to other departments
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fluency in English and Swahili
• Ability to travel occasionally
